PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner company or to take such other necessary action against the 2nd respondent and its members, to enable the willing employees, workmen, contract workmen, staff, officers and other managerial personnel and customers to enter and exit the factory premises, send and receive the materials and ensure that the respondents, are 500 meters away from the main gate and factory premises and maintain law and order, peace in and around the factory premises situated at KKR Metal Components, at No.355 & 368, SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ambattur, Chennai-600 098. This Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner company.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that while admitting the Writ petition there was an interim injunction granted by this Court and subsequently it was made absolute. Therefore, the first respondent provided sufficient police protection. He further submitted that in future if the same occurrence happens, the first respondent may be directed to give police protection.
3. In view of the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, if at all any occurrence happens in the future, the petitioner is at liberty to approach the jurisdictional police concerned for seeking police protection.
4. With the above observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
