..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to dispose of petitioner's Survey Application No.2026/0123/05/000644 dated 02.02.2026 to survey the Agriculture land in the Irumattur Village Survey No.149/2A, an extent of Property over 81 cents in Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District and mark the boundaries based on the meats and bounds for fencing his agriculture land along with the necessary and appropriate police protection. O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the 1st respondent to survey and demarcate the property, which according to the petitioner is owned by him, based on his online application, dated 02.02.2026, with the assistance of the 2nd respondent, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
2. The petitioner had submitted an application through on-line on 02.02.2026 for the aforesaid purpose. Since the same was not considered by the official respondents till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.V.Meganathan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent.
4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the 1st respondent is directed to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, after hearing the
objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owner as well as any other party whom they deem fit to put on notice, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of in the following manner:- (a) Before surveying the lands in question, the 1st respondent is directed to issue notice to the neighbouring land owner, and also to any other party, if they deem fit to put on notice.
(b) After receiving objections if any and after considering the same, the 1st respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
(c) If the need arises for police assistance and on a request made by the 1st respondent, the 2nd respondent shall render police assistance for the effective implementation of this order.
(d) There shall be no order as to costs.
