The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus forbearing the 1st Respondent from issuing Patta in respect of the lands comprised in S.F.Nos.26/1A, 27/1A, situated at Errahalli village and S.F. No 528/1, situated at Kaveripattinam II Village, Krishnagiri Taluk and District, in favour of the 2nd respondent.

2. At the outset, it is submitted by Mr.R.Marudhachalamurthy, learned counsel for 2nd respondent that during the pendency of writ petition patta has been issued in favour of 2nd respondent and therefore nothing may survive for further adjudication in this writ petition.

3. At this juncture, learned counsel for petitioner would submit that since patta has been issued in favour of the 2nd respondent, there is an amendment petition in W.M.P.No.34445 of 2025 seeking amendment in the prayer.

4. This Court suggested that petitioner may file a writ of certiorari challenging the issuance of patta. To which, learned counsel for petitioner would submit that they may be granted liberty to challenge the issuance of patta in the name of 2nd respondent by way of filing a fresh writ petition. 2/4

5. The writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh writ petition. No costs. Consequently, the amendment petition in W.M.P. No.34445 of 2025 and connected miscellaneous petition are closed. 18.08.2025 Speaking (or) Non Speaking Order Index : Yes/ No mka To:
