Prayer: The writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for records of first respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No:1046/08/A3 UOO.E(UOO) dated 16.4.2008 and quash the same and pass orders.

ORDER

The petitioner prays to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for records of the first respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No:1046/08/A3 UOO.E(UOO) dated 16.4.2008 and quash the same and pass orders.

2. The petitioner is the elected president of Pattamangalam Panchayat, Mayiladuthurai Taluk. The second respondent namely the Additional Director of Panchayat had conducted an inspection on 08.03.2008 and had pointed out certain irregularities in the maintenance of panchayat records and functioning of the panchayat.

4. The first respondent based on the Inspection report dated 08.03.2008 called for, from the third respondent to send a report regarding the details of the action taken against the said report.

3.The second respondent issued a memo on 4.04.2008 calling for the report of the remedial action taken on the inspection report and the said memo was served to the petitioner on 18.04.2008, for which the explanation by the petitioner was sent on 21.04.2008. Aggrieved by the order, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. When the matter was taken up for admission on 13.04.2008 an Interim Order was granted by this Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the tenure was over and the matter has become infructuous hence, no order is necessary in this writ petition.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
