PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 3 and 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.07.2015 and consequently direct the respondents 3 and 4 to provide agricultural electricity connection to the petitioner's property in S.No.51/8 in Ervaipattinam Village, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District. O R D E R
The petitioner purchased the property comprised in S.No.51/8 on 16.05.2005 from one Palanivel. On 16.06.1989, the said Palanivel had applied for agricultural electricity connection to the well situated in the property. The third respondent, by communication dated 01.11.2010 addressed to the petitioner, sought for necessary documents to provide electricity service connection. Later, it was found that the petitioner's vendor by mistake had wrongly mentioned the survey number as 56/12 as against the correct survey number 51/8 in the application for providing agricultural electricity service connection. The 4th respondent, by letter dated 03.07.2015 directed the petitioner to produce all the relevant documents to the property bearing S.No.51/8. In this regard, the petitioner made representation to the 4th respondent on 29.07.2015 with all requisite documents and so far, no order has been passed which compelled the petitioner to approach this court.
2. Heard Mr.N.Subramani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Varun Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

The communication filed alongwith the petition would show that there was a mistake in the survey number and hence the petitioner was called upon to produce the required documents, as per the communication of the 4th respondent dated 03.07.2015. The petitioner has also given reply to the 4th respondent on 29.07.2015 alongwith required documents.
4. In view of the above, without expressing anything on merits, this court directs the 4th respondent to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity to the petitioner to produce the requisite documents and explain the same.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
