This petition has been filed to call for the records in SC.No.186 of 2012 on the file of the learned XVII Additional District and Sessions Judge, Chennai and quash the same so far as against the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the 2nd accused in SC.No.186 of 2012, facing trial for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 294[b], 323, 307 r/w 34 of IPC. The petitioner has filed MP.No.231 of 2012 for quashing the FIR and the same was partly allowed by the Sessions Court, by quashing the offence under Section 294[b] IPC against the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner has preferred Crl.RC.No.1001 of 2013 before this Court, in which, this Court quashed the charges under Section 307 IPC against the petitioner and now he is facing trial under Section 323 IPC alone.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that nine witnesses were examined and the trial is in the completion stage.

4. Considering the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is of the opinion that since the trial in SC.No.186 of 2012 is in a part heard stage, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition. However, the Trial Court is directed to expedite the trial in SC.No.186 of 2012 and complete the same, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
