Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue online Patta for the lands in survey No.55/ 24, 55/ 25 and 55/ 21, measuring an extent 0.29 acres situated at Neelankarai village, Saidapet taluk, Chennai, within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents and in particular the 4th respondent to deal with the applications submitted by petitioner and to issue patta in the name of the petitioner.
2. When the Writ Petition came up for hearing on 24.04.2025, this Court passed the following order:
"Mr. A. Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of respondents 1 to 5. 2/6
2. It is seen from the records that already an order has been passed in W.P. No.30082 of 2024 dated 18.10.2024 wherein, a direction was issued to the fourth respondent to consider and pass orders within a period of six weeks. After the said order was passed, enquiry was conducted by the fourth respondent and that point of time, the sixth respondent seems to have made some objections. Hence, the parties were directed to submit all documents and participate in the enquiry. Thereafter, there was absolutely no progress and no final orders was passed. It is under these circumstances, the present Writ Petition came to be filed before this Court.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader shall take instructions in this case and inform this Court about the stage of the enquiry.
Post this Writ Petition at the end of the Motion list on 30.04.2025."
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the party was called for enquiry today and that orders will be passed within the time frame fixed by this Court.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the 6th respondent submitted that some time is required for filing a counter.
5. In the considered view of this Court, this Court is not deciding the Writ Petition on merits. Therefore, whatever stand the 6th respondent wants to take will be considered by the 4th respondent while passing the final orders.
6. In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 4th respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to all parties,within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
