Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to conduct all All India Common Entrance Examinations for the admission of Professional/Technical Courses in various Central Government Institutions (i.e.) IIT, IIM, NIT
etc. and 15% seats in the State Government Institutions as quota of Central Government in the country.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks direction in substance against the first two respondents to conduct All India Common Entrance Examinations for the admission of Professional/Technical Courses in various Central Government Institutions such as IIT, IIM, NIT etc. for 15% seats in the State Government Institutions as quota of Central Government also in tamil language.
2. On the Court query, it is conceded that the medium of instruction in these Institutions is English. However, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that if the examination can be held in Hindi, then why not in the regional language.
3. Mr.Su.Srinivasan, learned Additional Solicitor General appeared for first two respondents on our direction.
4. The petitioner has made a representation dated 24.02.2012, which has remained unanswered and no counteraffidavit has also been filed by the respondents, despite the matter being admitted four years back. We are of the view that an appropriate order to be passed would be to direct the first two respondents to examine the representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same within a period of three months from the date of the receipt of the order.
5. The writ petition, accordingly, stands disposed of. No costs.
