The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to first and second respondents to appoint the petitioner as Industrial Relations Officer.

2.Now, a counter affidavit is filed by the respondents 1 and

2. In para 9 of the counter affidavit, it is stated as follows: "9....... I further submit that the petitioner's request to be appointed in the post of Industrial Relations Officer is still under consideration along with that of the others. The petitioner, without awaiting the outcome of the above representation has approached this Hon'ble High Court in a hurried manner, hence the Writ Petition is liable to be dismissed on this ground alone."

3.At this juncture, the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that recording the statement made in the counter affidavit, the writ petition may be closed.
