O R D E R

The limited prayer sought for in the Criminal Original Petition is for a direction to dispose of the appeal in C.A.No.27 of 2017 on the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Puducherry.

2. The learned Public Prosecutor (Crl.side) on instructions submitted that the records of the Lower Court has been perused and that the case is proceeded for arguments on 2.3.2018. Taking into account, the stage of the appeal, a period of one month would be reasonably sufficient for the Appellate Court to dispose the appeal.

3. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Principal District and Sessions Court, Puducherry to dispose of the C.A.No.27 of 2017 within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
