This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 14.02.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for issuance of legal heirship certificate of her brother Late.Prasad Pathapattinam.

2. Heard Mr.K.Thenrajan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader, for respondent.

3. The specific case of the petitioner is that her parents died and her sister-in-law also died leaving behind her brother. Ultimately, the brother also died. Hence, the petitioner applied for legal heirship certificate as a Class-II heir. Since the representation was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to make an application online as a sibling of 2/4

her brother Late.Prasad Pathapattinam seeking for legal heirship certificate by paying necessary charges. On receipt of the same, the respondent shall do the needful within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of the online application from the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
