The petitioner made a representation to the respondent nos.1 & 3 seeking cancellation of patta standing in the names of the private respondents on the premise that the property belongs to the temple. Pursuant to the representation of the petitioner dated 21.03.2014, the respondent no.2 directed the respondent no.4 to conduct an enquiry. Though the enquiry was conducted on different dates, starting from issuance of notice on 12.02.2015 and ending on 13.08.2015, no further progress has been made. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.Considering the above, a direction is issued to the respondent no.4 to conclude the enquiry within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the parties concerned. Thereafter, the report will have to be sent to the respondent no.2. On receipt of the report from the respondent no.4, the respondent no.2 will have to pass appropriate orders and conclude the proceedings within six weeks thereafter. 3.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
