ORDER
The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 109 of BNS in Crime No.246 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The allegation against the petitioner is that on 12.12.2025, when the respondent police attempted to intercepted the petitioner on suspicion of illegal transportation of contraband, the petitioner failed to stop the vehicle and, in the course of evading interception, allegedly dashed against the police officials and two members of the general public. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was innocent and that he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that there are about four accused and the present petitioner is A3. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and, upon instructions, submitted that the has one previous case pending against him. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
5. Taking into consideration of the above factual position and the seriousness of the allegations against the petitioner, this Court is of the firm view, that the petitioner does not deserve the relief of anticipatory bail.
6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. 27-04-2026 DRL
