with the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.

Heard Mr.R.Shankar, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.P.Srinivas for the fifth respondent.

3. This writ petition has been filed praying to direct the first, second and third respondents to appoint a Special Officer to monitor the accounts of the Avadi Municipality and take necessary actions against the fourth, fifth and sixth respondents for their fraud and illegal monetary transactions in solid waste management in Avadi Municipality.

4. The petitioner, who is a social worker and Member of Avadi Municipal Council, has approached this Court, alleging fraud in respect of the transaction entered into with the sixth respondent for Solid Waste Management.

5. In my view, the petitioner is not a novice, but he is an elected representative of the very same Municipality. Therefore, very many avenues are available to him under the provisions of the District Municipalities Act, to vindicate his grievances.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition is closed. It is open to the petitioner to work out his remedy under the provisions of the District Municipalities Act. No costs.
