Mr.V.Anandha Moorthy , learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider his representation dated 06.04.2016 and settle the outstanding dues payable towards labour charges for cleaning and removing blockage of sewer lines and toilets in the buildings of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board executed by him and also the Earnest Money Deposits, Security Deposits, Additional Deposits, Term Deposits and Cash deposits as detailed in the Statement of deposits annexed to the representation dated 06.04.2016, in accordance with law, within a time frame.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had enclosed all the original bills and vouchers along with the representation dated 06.04.2016. However, the 1st respondent has not paid the amount claimed by the petitioner so far.
4.Mr.V.Anandha Moorthy , learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2016, in accordance with law.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.04.2016 and the documents produced along with the representation dated 06.04.2017 and settle the outstanding amount payable to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, however, no later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
