The Writ Petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking for a direction to consider and pass orders on his application dated 21.08.2018 and reminder dated 28.09.2018 seeking for transfer of patta in respect of S. No. 3/1, Koda Nagar Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamali District having an extent of 2.58 acres in the name of the Petitioner.

The Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that a Settlement Deed bearing Document No. 3140 of 2014 dated 09.06.2014 has been settled by his grandfather, viz., C. Munusamy Naik Subedar, to an extent of 2.58 acres in favour of the Petitioner. It is further stated that the Petitioner has sought for name transfer of patta for which the application was made on 21.08.2018, but the same has not been considered by the Respondent till date.

The Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the Respondent, on instructions, submits that the application dated 21.08.2018 made by the Petitioner would be considered within a period of three weeks.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed recording the aforesaid submissions made. It is made clear that no view has been expressed by this Court on the correctness or entitlement of the claim made by the Petitioner in that regard. No costs.
