Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code praying to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Tiruchengode, to proceed with the trial proceedings in S.T.C.No.161 of 2013, as per the decision of the Apex Court, rendered in re (Dashrath Rupsingh Rathod Vs. State of Maharashtra and another ) reported in (2014) 3 MLJ (Crl) 475 SC] within the stipulated time.

It is submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner that case in S.T.C.No.161 of 2013, has been filed by the petitioner for offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, and his examination in chief, was over, and the case was adjourned for cross-examination of the respondent. Therefore, suitable direction may be given to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Tiruchengode, to complete the trial as early as possible.

Considering the above submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, and the fact that trial has commenced, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, by directing the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court, Tiruchengode, to complete the trial in S.T.C.No.161 of 2013, on or before 31.05.2015.
