O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 8 (c), 20(b)(ii)(B) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in Crime No.804 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.985 kg Ganja. Hence the complaint was registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is a Gana Singer for the past several years. He would further submit that he was running a registered You Tube Channel also in the name of Gana Rockers Media and he had created more than 80 songs. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would vehemently opposed the petition stating that the petitioner was found in possession of 1.985 kg Ganja. He would further submit that two previous cases are pending as against the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are two previous cases pending as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
