Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2017 relating to payment of contributory pension amount as per law.

ORDER

The petitioner is a retired sanitary worker from Gummidipoondi Town Panchayat. After her retirement with effect from 30.4.2014, she was not paid with the contributory pension. On a representation made by the petitioner, a letter was sent by the Executive Officer to the Deputy Director, Treasury and Accounts Department on 21.10.2014. Again there was no reply. Therefore, the petitioner sent another representation on 10.4.2015 to the second respondent, for which the Deputy Director, Treasury & Accounts Department gave a reply to the petitioner on 13.4.2015 stating that the Government have not passed any orders. Again the petitioner gave three more representations on 6.7.2015, 15.7.2015 and 18.12.2015. But till date, the respondents have not come forward to act on the same. Therefore, she has come to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

this Court.

2. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents sought four weeks time to consider the pending representation.

3. In view of the above, the respondents are directed to consider and dispose of the pending representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
