On 25.8.2014, the petitioners made a request to respondents for change of revenue records with respect to the property situated in S.No.355 at Marasamudhram village, Krishnagiri Taluk and District measuring to an extent of 91.37 acres. The said request has been made by placing reliance upon an award passed by the competent authority under the Estates Abolition Act and the same was registered under a valid deed dated 19.6.1948 on the file of Joint 2 Sub Registrar, Krishnagiri, vide document No.1933 of 1948. On receipt of the said request made by the petitioners, the 2nd respondent in and by letter No.K423488/14 dated 16.9.2014 directed the 4th respondent to look into the matter and take necessary action. As no further action is forthcoming, the petitioners have come forward to file this writ petition.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. Considering the facts of the case, particularly, the pendency of the proceedings with the 4th respondent, as directed by the 2nd respondent dated 10.9.2015, the 4th authority is directed to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
