By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to rectify the Error of the Petitioner name and measurement in Patta No 1166 Comprised in S.No. 196/2A1B measuring an extent of 19,200 Sq.ft(0.17.83 ares/0.441 Acres) situated at M/s. New Happy Town Farms(P) LTD, Valaiyakaranai Village, Kundrathur Taluk, Kancheepuram District as per registered sale deed to grant patta in petitioner's name by considering the petitioner's application dated 08.08.2024.
3. The petitioner states that he is the owner of the property comprised in Survey No.196/2A1B, measuring an extent of 19,200 sq.feet bearing Patta No.1166 and Old Patta No.294. It is further stated that petitioner had purchased the above property vide sale deed No.276 of 2000 dated 14.02.2000 which was registered with the SRO, Walajabad, purchased from one Vengada Sivayya. The petitioner had taken out an online application on 08.08.2024 to the respondents 2/5
to grant patta for correct measurements of 19,200 sq.feet. 3.1. It is the case of the petitioner that 2nd respondent issued patta for the above mentioned property only in respect of an extent of 0.0.86 ares, though the petitioner had purchased in all measuring an extent of 19,200 sq.feet, the patta suffers from errors which are apparent. In view thereof, the petitioner had taken out an application on 08.08.2024 to rectify the errors apparent in the patta according to the petitioner, as the application is kept pending, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

At the outset, Mr.S.J.Mohamed Sathik, learned Government Advocate for respondents would submit that they would consider and pass orders after affording the petitioner and any other respondent/ interested parties, rival claimants, if any, an opportunity of hearing within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the application dated 08.08.2024.on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested persons/stake holders, including rival claimants, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from 3/5
the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the application and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the same on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
