The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to forthwith consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 08.03.2013 for taking necessary steps to hand over the ledgers, accounts, Bank account details, Bank Passbook, Cheque Book of the Perandur Panchayat Level Federation to the newly elected office bearers.
2. Heard Mr.V.R.Appaswamee, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mr. R.Govindasamy, learned Special Governmetn Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and Ms.Subhalaximi Samanta, learned counsel appearing for the 6th respondent.
3. The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to consider the petitioner's representation for taking necessary steps to hand over the Ledgers, Accounts, Bank Account Details, etc. Admittedly, the term of Office of the Executive Committee has come to an end on 02.11.2016 and as such the prayer in the writ petition cannot be considered at this stage. Since the term of the Executive Committee has come to any end, the third respondent is directed to conduct a fresh election in accordance with bye-laws of the petitioner's federation and such exercise shall be completed within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
