2. This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus forbearing the respondents from evicting the petitioners from the land in Survey No.82/2A1L, Poonamallee Taluk, Thiruvallur District, without providing an alternative accommodation as requested in the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2024.

3. The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2024.

4. Heard both sides.

5. Without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, the second respondent/District Collector, Thiruvallur District is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.05.2024, after giving due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all necessary parties and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
