This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report registered in Crime No.24 of 2020 pending investigation on the file of the first respondent for the offences under sections 406 and 420 of IPC.
2. The allegations in the First Information Report indicate that the with false promises the petitioner lured the defacto complainant and made him to part with huge amount, more than Rs.1,90,00,000/- and thereby, cheated the defacto complainant.
3. As the allegations prima facie indicate cognizable offence which requires proper investigation. When the allegations, prima facie, discloses ingredients of the offences, the First Information Report has to be proceeded for its logical end. The Court cannot interfere during investigation, unless and until the First Information Report is a clear abuse of process of law and the materials do not constitute any offence. Hence, I do not find any merits in this petition to quash the First Information Report.
4.
Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 11.07.2022 vrc To,
