The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authority to grant permission to conduct cultural programme to be held on 21.07.2017 at Sri Mariamman festival at Murugan Temple Ground, Maruthatur Village, Melur Post, Thittakudi Taluk, Cuddalore District - 606 111 in a grand manner.

va 2.It is the case of the petitioner that inspite of the representation being given to the respondent on 17.07.2017 for conducting cultural programme in the Temple on 21.07.2017, the respondent has not passed orders till today.

3.A Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(MD).No.3773 of 2017 by order dated 03.03.2017 in similar circumstances directed the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and dispose of the same. 4.Following the order passed by the Division Bench, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.07.2017 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, today itself. 5.With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
