Respondents [Respondent No.9 impleaded as per the order dated 21.4.2021] Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the third respondent to hold selection for the post of 105 Assistant Professors afresh in accordance with the law and restraining the respondents 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 from taking any further or any consequential proceedings in so far as the service matters and administration relating to Pachaiyappa's College and other colleges.

ORDER
(Order of the court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.P.Raja, learned counsel for the petitioner; Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Special Government Pleader for respondent Nos.1, 6 to 8; and, Mr.B.Vijay, learned counsel for respondent No.9.
2. It is submitted that the selection of 105 Assistant Professors is subject matter of challenge in a writ petition and the judgment of the learned Single Judge in the said writ petition is now sub judice in W.A.No.2558 of 2022 and another connected appeal.
3. As the issue involved is already sub judice in the pending writ
appeals between the adversarial parties, the present public interest litigation need not be considered on the same issue. As such, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.21891 of 2020 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 24.01.2024 Index :
