The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed in Crl.O.P.No.2826 of 2016 before this Court challenging the order dated 08.12.2015 made in Crl.R.C.No.9 of 2014 on the file of II Additional Sessions Judge, Puducherry, confirming the order dated 21.04.2014 made in Crl.M.P.No.6739 of 2009 in C.C.No.506 of 2006 on the file of Judicial Magistrate-I, Puducherry.

2. He further submitted that this Court was admitted the said Crl.O.P.No.2826 of 2016 and it was found that the name of the petitioner/Company was wrongly mentioned in the cause title and hence for making amendments in the said Crl.O.P. was adjourned by this Court on 04.08.2021.

3. He further submitted that it was found that due to oversight and inadvertently the name of the petitioner/Company was wrongly mentioned as "Tamilnadu Petro Chemicals Ltd.," instead of "Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited". The said mistake is neither wanton nor willful, but only due to the above said reason, and hence, he prays that this Court may be pleased to condone the mistake.

Further, the learned counsel has produced a proceedings in Ref.DOP/WTD/01-2021, dated 28.07.2021 stating that the authorization in relation to the proceedings in C.C.No.506 of 2006 pending before the Court, Ponicherry, is required to be changed consequent to the retirement of Mr.Syed Jalal, who was earlier authorized to represent the Company. It has also been stated that Mr.K.Mohan working as Chief Security Officer of the Company was nominated to appear before the Court, Pondicherry, in relation to the proceedings C.C.No.506 of 2006 on behalf of the Company.

5. Being satisfied with the reasons stated in the amendment petition, the above-said mistake is condoned. Hence, this petition is allowed.

6. Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendments in the Crl.O.P.No.2826 of 2016.
