Prayer:- Civil Revision Petitions are filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India, for the speedy disposal of the petitions in O.P.Nos.1140 and 4139 of 2013 on the file of the I Additional Family Court, Chennai within a period of three months. For Petitioners : Mrs.Geeta Ramaseshan

O R D E R

Civil Revision Petitions are filed seeking direction to the I Additional Family Court, Chennai, to dispose of the petitions in O.P.Nos.1140 and 4139 of 2013 pending on its file as expeditiously as possible on merits in accordance with law.

2.Learned counsel for the revision petitioner submitted that the husband/revision petitioner has filed a petition in O.P.No.1140 of 2013 for divorce on the ground of cruelty. The respondent/wife has filed a petition in O.P.No.4139 of 2013 for restitution of conjugal rights. Both the petitions are pending before the I Additional Family Court, Chennai. She further submitted that counter has been filed and counseling has also been over. As the revision petitioner/husband is now working in U.S.A., it is difficult for him to attend the Court at Chennai for each and every hearing. Therefore, she prayed for early disposal of both the petitions. 3.Considering the limited nature of the relief as sought for herein, notice to the respondent is dispensed with. 4.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the revision petitioner and on perusal of the typed set of papers, it is a fit case to give a direction to the trial Court to dispose of both the petitions as early as possible. Accordingly, the Presiding Officer, I Additional Family Court, Chennai, is directed to dispose of the petitions in O.P.Nos.1140 and 4139 of 2013 jointly, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving fair opportunity to both the parties.

5.With the above direction, the Civil Revision Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
