Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016 pending before the second respondent, which has been filed against the order of the third respondent herein.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for early disposal of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016 pending on the file of the second respondent.

2. According to the petitioner, even though the appeal was filed as early as in the year 2016, till date, the second respondent has not disposed of the said appeal. As seen from the documents filed along with this Writ Petition, the last communication sent by the second respondent to the petitioner was on 31.10.2025. The petitioner had also approached the Information Officer under the Right to Information Act, 2005 in respect of the delay on the part of the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016.

3. Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if a direction is issued to the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and by adhering to the 2/4

principles of natural justice within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal, dated 28.11.2016 on merits and in accordance with law by adhering to the principles of natural justice, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
