ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioners' additional petition 12.12.2025 and their representation dated 30.03.2026.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the subject property originally belonged to one Krishnama Chetti @ Kadainti Krishnama Chetty, and the petitioners subsequently acquired title to the same by way of inheritance. It is further submitted that the revenue records were erroneously mutated in the name of one Purantharan without issuing any notice to the petitioners and in the absence of any valid title documents. Based on such illegal mutation, layout approvals were subsequently granted in favour of the private respondents. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioners submitted a petition dated 12.08.2025 and an additional petition dated 12.12.2025 before the 1st respondent, followed by a representation dated 30.03.2026. However, the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and submitted that the petitioners' additional petition dated 12.12.2025 and representation dated 30.03.2026 will be considered within a period of sixteen weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to dispose of the petitioners' additional petition dated 12.12.2025 along with the representation dated 30.03.2026, after issuing due notice to the petitioners as well as to the private respondents 3 to 8 and other aggrieved persons, if any, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of sixteen (16) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
