Respondents Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for records of the 3rd respondent in connection with the impugned order passed by him dated 21.8.2015 (Roll No.5300053) and quash the same and direct the respondents to grant one mark to the petitioner based on the correct answers for question No.6 & 83 and further direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to participate in the subsequent stage of selection or alternatively direct the respondents to earmark separate cut off marks for each category for the persons studied in Tamil medium in pursuance of part II 6 (e) of the Notification for recruitment dated 8.2.2015, select and appoint the petitioner as
Sub-Inspector of Police under the departmental quota and grant him all consequential benefits.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) In view of the order passed in W.P.No.27016 of 2015 (M.Anbazhagan v. Government of Tamil Nadu, rep. by Secretary to Government, Home (Police IV) Department, Secretariat, Chennai600 009 and others) dated 03.11.2015 and there being some element of ambiguity on the issue of translation, it is agreed that the petitioner would be entitled to the benefit of one mark and thus, would reach the bench mark. The petitioner is thus entitled to the declaration of his result on merit.
2. The writ petition is accordingly allowed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
