Respondents PRAYER: This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent to produce the detenue namely S.Asha, daughter of G.Shankar, aged about 19 years or her body before this Court and set her at liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Today, both the petitioner, who is the father and the detenue-S.Asha, who is the daughter, are present. 2.The date of birth of the detenue is 23.03.2002. Therefore, as admitted by the petitioner himself, she is major. The detenue has married the second respondent on 25.06.2020 and she is not willing to go with the petitioner.

3. As the detenue is the major and since she married the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

second respondent, we do not find any illegal detention is involved. The detenue is set at liberty and the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
