(Order of the Court was made by J.SATHYA NARAYANA PRASAD, J.) This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2024 as per the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood Regulation) Act, 2014, made for granting permission/certificate of vending and till such time not to disturb with the running of the petitioner's bunk shop at No.21, (Opposite sugar sales & service), Perambur High Road, Chennai 600 011, wherein, juice, tea, coffee and food items are sold by using LPG stove.

2. Heard learned counsel on either side.

3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Greater Chennai Corporation submitted that the petitioner's application dated 20.04.2024 will be considered by the Vending Committee under the relevant Act. Learned Standing 2/4

Counsel further submitted that the Vending Committee has been re-constituted and the application of the petitioner will be considered in due course. 4.

In view of the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, the petitioner's request for certificate of vending shall be considered by the Vending Committee within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Till final orders are passed, status quo as on today shall be maintained by the respondents.

This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
