ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue legal heirship certificate to the petitioner within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Heard Mr. N. Beulah John Selvaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.Neelakandan Assisted by Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent. 3.
The case of the petitioner is that she was born on 18.10.1988. When she was 14 years old, her maternal uncle viz., Sam Prabhakar Rao wanted to adopt the petitioner and accordingly, Guardian O.P was filed before the High Court in OP No.490/2002. The petition was disposed of by an order dated 19.08.2002 by appointing the said Sam Prabhakar Rao as the legal guardian for the petitioner. Subsequently, a deed of adoption was executed on 07.05.2004 and it was registered as document No.922 of 2004. 4.
The further case of the petitioner is that the adopted father passed away on 30.05.2024. The petitioner applied for a legal heirship certificate on 01.10.2024 and even after the enquiry was conducted, no decision was taken by the respondent. It is under these circumstances the present writ petition has been
filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to take a decision and to convey the same to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
