(This case has been heard through video conferencing) This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents to take further action on the complaint dated 17.08.2019 given by the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.E.Anbarasan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.M.Prabhavathi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. Today when the petition is came up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents on instructions would submit that in respect of the complaint dated 17.08.2019 given by the petitioner, the same was received by the respondents police in complaint ID. BAR20089328 and the same has been closed on the same day. According to her, as of now, no petition / no enquiry is pending on the file of the respondents police in respect of this petitioner.

4. Therefore, in the absence of any complaint pending on the file of the respondents police, this Court cannot grant any positive direction in favour of this petitioner. In the said circumstances, the only option available to the petitioner is to approach the Jurisdictional Magistrate by filing an application under section 156(3) Cr.P.C.

5. With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition is closed .
