By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.Harsh Raj, learned counsel, takes notice for the third respondent. 3.
The petitioner seeks a direction directing the official respondents herein to further proceed with the recruitment process and to appoint the petitioner herein as Panchayat Secretary for Kallayee Village Panchayat in line with the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2021. 4.
A perusal of the typed set of documents would reveal that on 21.11.2019, the petitioner has submitted an Application Form for the post of Panchayat Secretary; During March 2020, the petitioner has received a communication from the Keezhpennathur Panchayat Union with clean copy; On 13.03.2020, the petitioner has submitted a Verification Form during interview session along with certificate of Ex-Serviceman and on 17.06.2021, the petitioner has addressed a representation to the official respondents. 5.
At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the only person who satisfies the distance criteria as he is the resident of the same village in which the said post is called for and the official respondents kept the appointment process in abeyance for no reasons.

Heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel for the 3rd respondent.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made on either side, this Court directs the first respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.06.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
