Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1,3 and 4 to derecognize the recognition of the 5th Respondent School functioning in the name and style of "Kannada Sangha Nursery & Primary School" situated No.13, United India Nagar, Ayanavaram, Chennai - 600023 based on the Petitioner's representation dated 28.05.2018.

Heard Mr.S.Venkatesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent and perused the materials available on record.

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1, 3 and 4 to de-recognise the recognition granted to the fifth respondent-School based on the petitioner's representation dated 28.05.2018.

The grievance of the petitioner is that the first respondent-Private School has demanded and collected more amount than that was fixed by the Fees Fixation Committee and the representation given by her in this regard was not considered.

Mr.K.Karthikeyan, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 submitted that based on the representation of the petitioner, the respondents have constituted a committee and the Committee has also submitted a report. He further submitted that the committee has fixed a sum of Rs.5,415/- as tuition fees, but the fifth respondent-School has collected a sum of Rs.9,780/- The fifth respondent-School has submitted an explanation stating that the excess fee was collected for providing Uniform, Shoes and Socks, Diary, Belt, ID, Books and note books etc. The explanation given by the School Committee was accepted by the third respondent. 5.
In light of the above, this Court of the considered opinion that no further adjudication is required in this Writ Petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.
