O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai-15 to dispose the CC.No.4976 of 2017 within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials placed on record.

3.Pursuant to the directions issued by this Court, the learned XVII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, has sent a report dated 21.06.2018, wherein, she has stated as follows: "On 13.09.2017 the accused was appeared and copies were furnished to the accused and thereafter the complaint was adjourned for further proceedings on 20.09.2017. The Learned Counsel for the Complainant had seek adjournment of the case on the ground that the complainant is Out of Town and hence the case is periodically adjourned and on 13.06.2018 the complainant was present and examined as P.W.1 and at request of the Counsel for Accused the case is adjourned for cross examination of the P.W.1 on 27.06.2018. Now, the case is adjourned to 27.06.2018 https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for cross examination of the P.W.1 by the accused. As per the 2nd reference cited above, I am submitting my report for Your Honour's kind information and obliged."

4.In view of the above, the trial Court is directed to complete the trial in CC.No.4976 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided there is no any other legal impediment.
