O R D E R

This petition has been filed to transfer the investigation in Cr.No.360 of 2017 pending investigation on the file of the Inspector of Police, V-6 Kolathur Police Station, Chennai to any other investigation agency.

2. There was a theft in the house of the petitioner, pursuant to which, on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police have registered a case in Cr.No.360 of 2017 on 26.02.2017 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC , against unknown accused. Not satisfied with the investigation, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl.Side] appearing for the State.

4. Learned Government Advocate [Crl.Side] submitted that during the investigation of a case in Cr.No.661 of 2017 on the file of the Avadi Police Station, the police arrested an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accused, who has confessed about his involvement in Cr.No.360 of 2017. She further submitted that the said accused is arrested in Cr.No.360 of 2017 and the police were able to recover only some household articles.

5. In the opinion of this Court, this is not a fit case to transfer the investigation to any other agency. However, this Court directs the Assistant Commissioner of Police, in charge of Kolathur Police Station to monitor the investigation in Cr.No.360 of 2017 that is being conducted by the Inspector of Police, Kolathur Police Station and complete the same expeditiously.
