This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Special District Judge (POA Court), Villupuram to consider the bail application and pass orders on merits on the same day on the petitioner surrender in connection with Crime No.352 of 2018 pending before the respondent police.

2. In the opinion of this Court, this petition is not maintainable, since the petitioner himself is aged about 17 years and therefore, the provisions of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000, alone will apply. Hence, this petition is dismissed.
