The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.05.2024 in Crime No.06 of 2024, for the offences punishable under Section 420 of IPC, seeks bail.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he is no way connected with the alleged offence, whereas, he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner is suffering incarceration from 10.05.2024 and he is ready to abide any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of bail to the petitioner.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police raised objection for granting bail to the petitioner stating that, petitioner had collected chit amount from 134 members to the tune of Rs. 12,00,000/- and thereby cheated them. 4. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also taking note of the fact that the amount has not been recovered and the investigation is pending, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
