O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 28.01.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for name change in the service connection that has already been provided to the property.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents produced the written instructions received from the third respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that the third respondent is insisting for the petitioner to submit an online application along with relevant particulars by paying necessary charges. Once the same is done, the application will be processed and the name change will be effected.

3. In the light of the above written instructions given by the 2/4

third respondent, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit an online application by paying necessary charges and providing necessary particulars. On receipt of the same, the third respondent shall act upon it and do the needful within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of the online application from the petitioner. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
