(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1) (a) 4(1-A) of TNP Act, in Crime No.697 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioners were found in illegal possession of 25 Litres Poisonous Alcohol. Hence the complaint was registered.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners are innocent persons and they have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would vehemently opposed the petition stating that the petitioners were found in illegal possession of 25 Litres Poisonous Alcohol. He would further submit that there are two previous cases pending as against the petitioners.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are two previous cases pending as against the petitioners, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
