O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 04.09.2020 for the offences punishable under Section 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 307 and 506(ii) IPC, in Crime No.949 of 2020, pending investigation on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and other accused joined together and picked up quarrel with the defacto complainant and abused him using filthy language, assaulted him with machete and knife, thereby, causing grievous injuries to the complainant and also threatened him with dire consequences. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the injured persons have been discharged from the hospital.

4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner along with other accused has assaulted the defacto complainant with machete and knife and also inflicted grievous injuries to the victims. He would further submit that apart from this case, the petitioner has involved in two other cases in Crime No.1312 of 2018 registered by the Saravanampatti Police Station and another one in Crime No.1416 of 2020 registered by the Thudiyalur Police Station. He would further submit that the petitioner was arrested only on 04.09.2020 and the investigation is in preliminary stage.

5.Taking into consideration of the facts and submissions made by the learned Government Advocate and also considering the fact that the petitioner has got two previous cases and that the petitioner was arrested very recently on 04.09.2020, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner for the present. 6.This Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly. -sd/- 05/10/2020 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
