Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to survey my land in S.No.176/1A to an extent of 2.35 1⁄4 acres at Gangavalli Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District and to fix the boundaries by considering my representation dated 05.07.2021.

ORDER

The petitioner had given a representation dated 05.07.2021 seeking survey of her lands in S.No.176/1A measuring to an extent of 2.35 1⁄4 acres at Gangavalli Village, Gangavalli Taluk, Salem District and to fix the boundaries.

2.It is claimed by the petitioner that necessary charges had been paid on 05.07.2021, when the representation was given. She claimed that she had purchased the lands from one S.Karunakaran by way of registered Sale Deed dated 14.10.2020, which had been registered as Document No.2280 of 2020 by the Sub-Registrar, Gangavalli. It had been claimed that she was in continuous possession and had also obtained patta. The lands are now vacant and therefore, she want to measure them and to fix boundaries.

3.In view of the same, she had given a representation, but unfortunately, the 2nd respondent, Tashsildar, had not taken any action till date. Hence, a mandamus is issued to the 2nd respondent, Tahsildar, to measure the aforesaid lands with the help of a surveyor and also enquire the petitioner regarding the holdings and thereafter, complete the process within a period of twenty weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the said observations, the Writ Petition is allowed. No costs.
