ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 praying to give necessary direction to the respondent to register the complaint dated 10-11-2014 alleged to have been given by the petitioner. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not present.

It is averred in the petition that the petitioner, as defacto complainant, has given a complaint dated 10-11-2014, wherein it has been specifically stated that the persons mentioned therein have cut and carried away some trees. But the respondent has not taken appropriate steps to register the complaint. Under the said circumstances, the present petition has been filed.

Considering the nature of relief sought for in the petition and also the nature of allegations made in the complaint dated 10-11-2014, and also considering the fact that the respondent had not taken any steps, the following direction can be issued:

"In fine, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. The respondent is strictly directed to look into the allegations made in the complaint dated 1011-2014 and if any cognizable offences are made out, further directed to take appropriate steps as per law."
