The Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 05.05.2021.

2. Today (13.04.2022), when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the accused apart from cheating the petitioner, he has also cheated several other investors. However, on the complaint given by one Prem Kumar, a case in Crime No.25 of 2021 has been registered by the respondents for the offence under Sections 120(b), 420 of IPC and Section 5 of TNPID Act. He would further submit that the petitioner is cited as one of the victim/witness in this case.

3. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
