PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., to direct the respondent 1 & 2 to forthwith stop the harassment of the petitioner insurance company and in relation to the complaint lodged by 3rd respondent with regard to his vehicle damage claim and close the matter with a direction to the police authorities to direct the 3rd respondent to initiate such civil remedies as may be open to him in law. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner in relation to the complaint lodged by the 3rd respondent with regard to his vehicle damage claim.

2. Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the petitioner is arrayed as accused in Crime No.178 of 2019 and investigation is pending before the 1st respondent, the Inspector of Police, CCB1, EDF-3, Team 21-A, Vepery , Chennai - 600 007.

4. Under such circumstances, once the regular FIR has been registered, the question of "Not to harass" will not arise. Any direction issued by this Court at this stage will amount to interfering with the investigation conducted by the respondent police.
