The petitioner seeks direction upon the second respondent/Police to register his complaint, dated 25.06.2014, and investigate the same and file final report within a stipulated time. 2.
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, representing the respondent/Police.

It is seen that the petitioner has sent his complaint, by post, to the Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore, viz., the first respondent herein. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Police and lodge a fresh complaint, and in the event of such a complaint is being lodged by the petitioner, the concerned jurisdictional Police is directed to conduct enquiry and proceed further in accordance with law by registering a crime, if any cognizable offence is made out, by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
following the dictum laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in re Lalita Kumari vs. Govt. of U.P. & others reported in [2013 (4) Crimes 243 (SC)].
