By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 1/4

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to conduct land survey and fix boundaries for the property measuring 1.60 acres, comprised in S.F.No.135/1C,Thandekuppam village, Harur taluk, Dharmapuri with police aid, by considering her online application No.2025/0123/05/009581 dated 10.3.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that petitioner is the owner of the property measuring 1.60 acres, comprised in Survey No.135/1C, situated in Thandekuppam Village, Harur Taluk, Dharmapuri District. Petitioner's father has executed a settlement deed dated 06.05.2016 settling the entire property in favour of his two daughters viz., Gandhimathi and petitioner. While so, the petitioner had submitted an online application on 10.03.2025, seeking survey of the subject property and has also paid appropriate fees for the same, however, the respondents have kept the application pending till now. Hence, this writ petition.

On this being pointed out, Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader for 1st respondent would submit that they would consider the petitioner's application dated 10.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders within the time stipulated by this Court, which was readily accepted by the learned 2/4
counsel for petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the application dated 10.03.2025, carry out a survey, if required the Tahsildar/ 1st respondent shall seek police protection. If any such protection is sought for, adequate protection would be extended by 2nd respondent for carrying out survey. The above exercise shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving prior notice to the petitioner, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants, if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
